This is my first time trying out fimo canes! After winning Manicured Monkey's giveaway, I couldn't wait to try out the Hello Kitty fimo. I also wanted to use the nail striping tape as well. I started by painting all my nails except my ring finger with LA Colors Art Deco in white. I waited for it to completely dry before placing the tape in different patterns on my nails. I painted over all the white and the tape with Essie's Lovie Dovie. I also painted my ring finger this color. After the polish had started to dry, I peeled off all the striping tape. I think it looks okay for my first try. You can see on several of my nails that when I peeled off the tape, some of the white polish peeled off too.

Do you have any advice for using the striping tape? I really liked the Hello Kitty fimos with Essie's Lovie Dovie. I think this was the perfect combination.

Recently one of my favorite beauty Guru's created a collection of Nail Polish with Jesse's Girl Cosmetics. The JulieG Nail Polish Collection can be found at Rite Aid and retails for $3.99. The core collection polishes, including a coral polish named after Julie retail for $2.99. I have to admit that I was really disappointed with this collection. I was really expecting more glittery, sparkly colors. The majority of these colors are plain creams. There are two colors in this collection with a hint of shimmer, Mermaid's Lagoon and Stiletto. I spent a long time looking at both of these in the display. I decided for now that I have several other colors like Mermaid's Lagoon in my collection. I have nothing like Stiletto. Stiletto is a taupe colored polish with this really pretty secret shimmer. This is two coats.

I recently picked up Jesse's Girl Flirt at Rite Aid. I've been looking at this polish every time I look at the Jesse's Girl display and finally decided to pick it up. Flirt is a light pink with lots of shimmer.
I wanted to do some stamping so I chose the peacock pattern on Bundle Monster plate BM212. I stamped using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Teal Takeoff I then added the holographic hex glitter from Sally Hansen Twinkle Twinkle inside each feather.

I've had my Bundle Monster plates for quite a while now and have finally finished my storage of them. While I was waiting for my order to arrive, I did lots of Googleing to see how other ladies stored their plates. I saw most people stored their plates in baseball and business card holders. I also saw another idea about adding a piece of shelving paper in the holder to prevent the plates from slipping out of the holder if you dropped it, or picked it up the wrong way. I decided that a zippered CD case would work best for me. I went and picked out two matching pink ones from where else but the Dollar Tree. Since I have both sets of plates (21 and 25) I knew I needed at least 45 slots. Each CD case holds 24 plates so BM201 goes in the case with the series one set. Also within each slot I placed a piece of white paper that I cut to fit in there. I labeled the paper with the plate number and stamped one of each image on the paper so I could see what the stamp looked like. Using the yellow polish probably wasn't the best idea but I think it turned out okay. I like this method because I can just flip through the pictures to find a design to wear. The shelving paper I also got at the Dollar Tree. I do think it helps keep the plates inside their slots. It does make removal of the plates a bit annoying at times, but I'd rather not have the sharp metal plates accidentally fall out onto my toes!

I store my stampers and scrapers in an old q-tip container that I got from the Dollar General or the Dollar Day bins at Rite Aid. These are my favorite q-tips to use for cleaning my plates, stamper and scraper.

I hope you find my stamping plate storage helpful. How do you store your plates?

Last month I entered Manicured Monkey's contest through her Youtube channel. I won! Here are the prizes I was sent.

I was sent a dotting tool, nail buffer, water decals, three rolls of nail striping tape and 100 fimo canes! Kristin also added some yummy candies and a cute note as well. I've never tried any of these items, and I don't even have a real dotting tool. I can't wait to try out some of these items. Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway Kristin!

As we move closer to fall, I wanted to use some of my more fall like colors. This is Wet n Wild's Morbid stamped with LA Colors Art Deco in Silver. The stamp is from Bundle Monster. I saw Cristina over at Let Them Have Polish do this last month and I wanted to do something similar. I went with a deep emerald green. This design feels very fall to me as well.

I recently watched soguesswhat11's tutorial for Bold Butterflies and wanted to try out that Butterfly stamp. I think this needs to go into the #NailFail vault. I wore this for maybe a day. I even tried adding glitter later, and I still did not like how this came out.
My background color is Zoya Moxie. The stamp is Bundle Monster plate BM205 using China Glaze VIII. I don't think the butterflies came out as dark as I wanted them to. Next time I will pick more contrasting colors to try this look. I'm still not sure if these look like little butterflies, I kinda see bows. In soguesswhat11's video, they looked much cuter.

What do you do if you have a #NailFail?

Last week I posted my Teal and Purple Glitter manicure. I had gotten bored with it after the first day, so I added some shatter! This is LA Colors Atomic with LA Colors Treasure Island and Funky Fingers Cheshire with LA Colors Art Deco Teal and Purple Glitter. I added OPI Black Shatter to given this design a completely different look.

This is my favorite thing to do with the Black Shatter: layer it over yesterday's mani to make something new!

After making those polish magnets, I was inspired to wear some of the designs from the magnets on my nails. I started out by creating something on a fake nail and decided to wear it as my accent nail. This design is using Funky Fingers Chesire, LA Colors Atomic, LA Colors Treasure Island, LA Colors Art Deco Purple And Teal Glitter.
